For chatting, we recommend a chatmail relay instead of a classic email provider.

If you run your own mail server, the most reliable way to make it work with email clients is to publish an autoconfig file at /.well-known/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.1.xml on your domain.

To set up a profile with a third-party classic email provider, you may need the "advanced settings" during profile creation. Please consult your provider for the required server settings.

Chatmail Provider Info

mail.com

Needs preparation.

To log in, you first need to activate POP3/IMAP in your mail.com settings. Note that this is a mail.com Premium feature only.

For older free accounts IMAP access was not deactivated to this date, so if you have already a client set up with IMAP, it should work here too.
